Collaborations, Exhibitions, Education and Research

My trajectory includes individual work and collaborations on design projects and exhibitions with architects, artists, and institutions. I have participated in research (2016, 2017, 2020 at UEMadrid), education (FABLABUE, UEMadrid 2017-2021), and international exhibitions (Shenzhen/Hong Kong Bi-City Biennial 2015). My work has been selected for exhibitions and film festivals (Young Playlist curated by Sondre Røe at AMIFF21, Harstad, 2021/ Biting My Tongue, Göteborg Konsthall, 2023, curated by Liv Stoltz and Daniel Jewesbury) and publications (Hdk-Valand 2023, UEMadrid 2020, UPM Madrid 2019). I believe I have a strong skillset in art/design/architecture workshop practices and collective endeavours. I have received scholarships for research and have been invited as guest lecturer at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM, Spain) and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland).

About

My name is Pablo Encinas Alonso (ES, 1990) and I am an interdisciplinary spatial practitioner and researcher based in Gothenburg, Sweden. My enquiry lies at the intersection of spatial theory and practice, bridging art and architecture. Trained both fields I have recently completed an MFA in Fine Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden (2023).  I have been an active member of the independent study group AIRC at SKOGEN also in Gothenburg since 2021, where I lead a project focusing on spatial reading with practitioners from diverse fields.
